Leave it to founder Kendra Kolb Butler to create a product you never knew you needed and now you won’t be able to live without. Meet Juneberry & Collagen Hydrating Cream Cleanser: a cold cream at heart, plus a pore-clearing, skin-buffing super cleanser. “I watched my mom use cold cream growing up and marveled at how well it took her makeup off and how soft and smooth her skin looked when she was done,” says Kendra. “I really wanted to recreate this product, the Alpyn way, and make it do more for the skin.”
WHAT IS A COLD CREAM?
A rich cream used for softening and cleansing the skin using an emulsification of oil in water to present a sensation that is cool to the touch when applied.
Cold Cream is one of the oldest beauty products on record. Created in the 1600s by a Greek physician named Galen, it was a thick, creamy concoction of rosewater, beeswax and oil. It was originally used to treat skin ailments, such as redness and irritation, but became popular among theater actors because of its remarkable ability to remove layers of stubborn makeup. In the 1920s, cold cream became more mainstream with several cosmetics companies offering a version as a makeup remover and cleanser.
Fast forward to right now. Cold cream, the Alpyn way, delivers that same flash of cool you expect from a cold cream, but then deeply cleanses the skin and exfoliates dryness. “This cleanser gives you that OG feeling of an invigorating, refreshing eucalyptus-filled cleanse,” says Kendra. “And it’s formulated with clean and planet positive ingredients, like antioxidant Juneberry and plant-based collagen.” As a bonus, Kendra included spherical jojoba beads to treat skin to a gentle yet highly productive exfoliation.

You apply it to wet or dry skin, then massage in it in, paying particular attention to dry or congested areas.
